Reflections on this Sunday's Readings

So here is a new feature you can expect to see each week. This was entirely produced by a student at JP Catholic, Nate Sjogren, a Sophmore. Nate was welcomed into the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil and is very much on fire for his faith. And, yes, at the end of the video you'll note that our school is launching a M.A. program in Biblical Theology. Go to the www.jpcatholic.com to learn more!

This is really exciting! What a wonderful opportunity to reflect more deeply on the Sunday readings a few days before Sunday. It's also nice to see you on your blog as well as reading what your write.

I just added this to a post listing resources for this Sunday's Mass.

Are you familiar with Father Daniel Mueggenborg's SUNDAY GOSPEL SCRIPTURE STUDY videos? I find them outstanding, though IMHO this weeks presentation was not as good as most of the others. You can find his site here:

This was really a good talk. Informative, short and inspiring. Thanks Michael. Give my best to Kim.

As a convert from evangelicalism myself, I couldn't help but immediately note that Nate Sjogren is also the name of the lead singer from This Band.

Can't be the same guy, can it?

Michael,

You provided a wonderful reflection. You truly have a gift from God. May He continue to bless you (and us through you).
