Did the President Deliberately Write God Out of the Declaration of Independence?

Here's what the Preamble of the Declaration of Independence states: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Now, watch this. . .


Did President Obama deliberately write the "Creator" out of the Preamble? What was on the teleprompter?

If you asked me to quote from memory I would have missed it. Was he reading a prepared text or ex tempore?

Obviously he deliberately omitted the reference to the Creator. He quoted it verbatim, except for the omission.

If Pres. Obama were an ordinary citizen, I'd be inclined to grant him the benefit of the doubt. Many ordinary citizens haven't seen the Declaration of Independence since high school.

However, Pres. Obama was a senior lecturer at the Univ. of Chicago School of Law -- teaching constitutional law.

Consequentely, he is intimately familiar with the founding documents of our nation, including the Declaration of Independence.

He knows what is says. He purposefully choose to omit the reference to our Creator.

The questions are: 1) Why? and 2) What does this say about him?
