Thanks Carson!

My friend and colleague from the St. Paul Center, Carson Weber, has written a very kind post on my popular-level verse-by-verse commentary on the Apocalypse, Coming Soon: Unlocking the Book of Revelation and Applying Its Lessons Today (Steubenville: Emmaus Road, 2006).

In addition to writing a great blog, Carson runs the extraordinary Catholic catechetical site, Catholic Board. He is currently podcasting the class he's teaching with Scott Hahn's new text book, Understanding the Scriptures. Over 20,000 people have downloaded this podcast.

Thanks, Carson!

I agree with Carson.
Michael's book is fantastic. It takes one of the most difficult (if not the most difficult) books of the New Testament and makes interpreting it look easy. A must own, especially for anyone who wants to learn how to use the Old Testament and ancient Judaism to illuminate early Christian eschatology and liturgy.

I don't know how many people, per se, have downloaded the podcast, but from the 30 podcast episodes, there have been 22,100 downloads. If we averaged it out (assuming each person downloaded all 30 episodes), there would be about 737 people who downloaded it. Now, some only download one, two, three, four, fifteen, or twenty-three of the episodes, which means that many more than 737 people have downloaded episodes. I would guess that the number is around 1,500 to 3,000 people.

If only I received royalties...
