The Eugenics Vision of Planned Parenthood's Founder

Since becoming a father this year--watching my son's growth on multiple ultrasounds, being present in the operating room where he was delivered, and spending everyday with my wife learning to love him even more--I've come to a profoundly strong realization of the evil of abortion. Here's a shocking video on the founder of Planned Parenthood--the largest abortion provider in America-- everyone should watch. I've heard these things about Sanger before, but I had not heard it in her very own words! This is horrifying. Of course, she is still hailed as a hero by Planned Parenthood today, which is quite telling if you ask me.

You might be interested to know that The Tablet of 27 September had an article on Marie Stopes' (the British birth control pioneer) involvement in the eugenics movement, including her links with Nazi Germany. The article is unfortunately available for subscribers only, but it reports on a recent study by Ann Farmer entitled By Their Fruits.

Here's an extract:

"Back in the 1930s, as Ann Farmer’s meticulously researched account reveals, a network of campaigners made up of Eugenics Society members belonged to a wide range of other organisations and worked across party political lines, pushing for abortion and
sterilisation for just these reasons. In the midst of all this was Marie Stopes. Stopes came to prominence in 1918 with the publication of Married Love, which had sold 400,000 copies by 1923. In 1921, she and her husband, the aviator H.V. Roe, set up London’s first birthcontrol clinic in north London and formed the Society for Constructive Birth Control and Racial Progress. Her views went well beyond an interest in people’s sexual wellbeing. “Are these puny-faced, gaunt, blotchy, ill-balanced, feeble, ungainly, withered children the young of an Imperial race?” she asked the readers of The Daily Mail in 1919 in an article entitled “Mrs Jones does her worst”. “Mrs Jones”, she went on, “is destroying the race!”

You found them out!

While mouthing opposition to state control and freedom of conscience, the so-called Pro-Choicers are secretly a coven wedded inexorably to Margaret Sanger's vision of eugenic Utopia. They couldn't possibly have any other motive than those of their long dead progenitors.

Fortunately Christians have so much to be proud of in Father Coughlin and Michael F Griffen.

And if you want to see a development of this eugenic mindset as it has seeped into education philosophy throughout the last century, check out John Taylor Gatto's The Underground History of American Education. It gets really disturbing to see how influential this belief in a "super race" was in 20th America.

While of course one should refrain from drawing too broad conclusions from this sort of evidence, nonetheless all this exceptionally sordid stuff needs to be aired. There's some truly awful footage of MS addressing some KKK rallies out there which would also be worth publicising more, if you can watch it without vomiting half your guts out down the lavatory pan.

So does anyone have a solution to this problem other than the one proposed by Mattathias in 1st Maccabees Chapter 2?

Because the German people acted like sheep in the 1920s and 30s, Hitler was able to murder 6 million Jews. Because the Russian people acted like sheep during the same period of time, Stalin was able to murder 20 million Ukranians. Because the Chinese people were like sheep in the 1950s and 60s, Mao Tse Tung was able to murder untold millions of his own country men, women and children.

It's time to stop being sheep. We need the zeal of Phineas in Numbers Chapter 25:

We need to remember what Psalms 106:23-31 says:

We've become weak. We have forgotton that God, being perfect love, is perfect justice and He will NOT stay His almighty hand forever.

As St. John wrote to the Church at Laodicea in Revelation 3:14-22, we had better get either hot or cold, because in our lukewarm state, we will be spewed out of the Lord's mouth:

Sadly, most of us Catholics in the US don't even know what our own Bible says, so when it comes to defending the unborn's right to life, we are without the mighty shield and sword of the Word of Truth (Ephesians 6:10-18):
